What do I need for a yoga class?

First, I want to make it very clear that you really only need yourself and space to move. Everything else is either just extra or nice for particular classes.
With that in mind, I know personally I love learning what works well for others and especially if they're willing to share links to make my life easier. So here goes!
Quick & Low Cost Links
Mat- Gaia $24
Blocks- Amazon $9
Blankets- EverydayYoga $12
Bolster- Amazon $35, Hugger Mugger $92
Strap- Strap $7
Eye Pillow- Eye Pillow $14
My personal favorite yoga mats are from the company Jade Yoga. They last for years (I've had mine for 8 years), are slide and sweat proof, and are EcoFriendly and chemical free. I also recently ordered the infamous Manduka yoga mat for a loved one and will update once I see how it holds up. Amazon also has really great options at a reasonable price. The brand Gaia is an inexpensive favorite.
This will come down to personal preference. You can have a smaller 3 inch block, 4 inch block, or heavier/sturdier cork block. Each has its pros and cons. If you are going for one the 4 inch is the most versatile allowing for support in poses, light and easy to move around, and relatively inexpensive. Check out EverydayYoga.com to explore pricing options, colors, and sizes. Or Amazon has great options too!
This is the strap I use. It's super soft and even has a little band to keep it in place after rolled up.
Ah yes, the good stuff, and also where you'll likely use the most props ever in a yoga class. Generally I recommend 3-4 blankets, 4 blocks, and 2 bolsters (more for prenatal classes most will just be 1 bolster).
Look at it as an investment, these things last for years! Before going out and spending all the money, really look around your house for things you can use that you already have. Things like pillows, couch cushions, books (as blocks), and blankets. Don't feel you have to have it all at once.
Bolsters
Looking for a bolster can feel overwhelming as there are many sizes, companies, and therefore options. Here is what I use as a large bolster and one for under my knees. If I were to buy again I would buy either from EverydayYoga or BeanProducts on Amazon.
Blankets
You'll want blankets that are around 50" x 70". Check out EverydayYoga as they always have sales! I got mine for $12.
Eye Pillow
This is truly extra, but oh so yummy, especially for restorative classes or savasana. This is the eye pillow I ordered but there are many out there to explore and find the right one for you.
